Pediatric Fluoride Treatments

We provide fluoride treatments to help prevent cavities and tooth decay. Fluoride is a mineral that helps strengthen teeth, and it is often found in water supplies.

Like adults’ teeth, your child’s teeth are susceptible to the attacks of bacteria and acids as they eat and drink during the day. These demineralize tooth enamel, which makes cavities more likely to appear. Fluoride helps remineralize your child’s teeth.

We will check your child’s fluoride levels during your visit and let you know if we recommend a fluoride treatment. If so, we can complete the treatment in only a few minutes.

Dental Sealants

Dental sealants are made out of a clear resin substance, and they help prevent decay. We paint your child’s teeth with the dental sealant, and it serves to protect their teeth from bacteria and food debris. This helps to prevent cavities. Also, the smooth covering allows for more efficient teeth cleaning when brushing.

We recommend dental sealants for your child’s permanent molars. These usually come in between ages 6 to 12. Dental sealants involve a relatively simple process, requiring only one quick appointment to apply.
